Aladdin JR Brings Disney Magic To The Croston Theatre
Last week, we saw our Lower Senior performing arts students showcasing their musical and theatrical talents in the dazzling Aladdin Jr. The audience in the Croston Theatre have been thrilled by the magical adventure, which showcased over three nights. The story of Aladdin is a tale packed with courage, adventure and discovering the magic within. Our talented students have given it their all, and it has really showed in the quality of their spectacular performances.
The stage has also looked fantastic with the lighting effects and backdrop that had been put in place transforming the space into a beautiful Arabian landscape. The settings of the bazaar and palace in particular really stood out, alongside the bright colours of the outfits worn by the cast (put together by Mrs Ward-Thompson) that have captured the atmosphere of the story perfectly.
As you would expect, the play featured the magic lamp, genie and characters from the much loved Disney film. Aladdin, Princess Jasmine, Jafar, Genie and others, all come together in Westholme’s very own version of the tale. There was even a flying carpet to top it all off, along with the classic songs from the musical!
Thank you to everyone who came to watch the performances. We hope you were transported to ‘A Whole New World’. The production has been directed by Mrs Holland and Mrs Eames, with the mesmerising choreography arranged by Mrs Barber. Thanks also go to Mr Bradford, Miss Roberts and Mr Lyle.
We hope you have all enjoyed watching the performance!
