Cross Country Heroics!
One of the most successful sporting days for Westholme in recent memory and what a day of cross country it was! In brutal conditions, our heroic runners gave their all and ‘enjoyed’ their time out in the wilds of the hills around Giggleswick School.
We had amazing individual success. Charlie came 1st in the U13 boys and Finn came 3rd in the same race.
Georgina came 3rd in the U13 Girls race.
Camille came 7th in the U11 Girls race.
Harry and Thomas finished 4th and 5th respectively in the U11 Boys race.
The U11 boys team won the whole event, beating Sedbergh by 2 points to the trophy.
I could not have been prouder of every single competitor who ran for Westholme. Without fail, they gave their all and were a real credit to their school.
One other thing to be proud of: the organiser came up to me at the end and said that without fail, Westholme students always came and said thank you after a match and that none of the other schools ever did. That says a lot about what we are all about at Westholme.
