OW Daniel visits to talk to aspiring Medics
Aspiring Sixth Form medical students were lucky enough to be able to have an in-depth chat with OW, Daniel Kirkwood, who visited us on Thursday afternoon.
Daniel left Westholme to study medicine at Lancaster University. Daniel did exceptionally well in his A Levels whilst at Westholme, achieving 4 A*s.
He kindly gave up some of his free time to visit our students and impart some advice, and help students with any questions they may have about studying medicine, based off his own experiences.
After a quick chat, Daniel then went through a short presentation on the big screen in the labs which helped to outline some of the application and interview processes that students would have to go through in order to submit their university applications.
Overall, it was great experience for the students to listen to Daniel. Thank you, Daniel, for coming back to Westholme and sharing your inspirational story!
