Prep Holiday Club
The first week of half term was spooktastic over at our first Prep holiday club of the year! Arts and Crafts week took off with a range of exciting techniques and crafting outcomes for our children to explore new ideas and leave each day with a variety of Halloween inspired pieces.
Clay, Photography and textiles were some of the highlights from the week; even our youngest members of Prep took to William’s Wood, armed with DSLR cameras and an excited vision for their Autumn-scape photography.
A plethora of autumn leaves, pumpkins and ghost clay 3D models decorated the room, as children explored new techniques and enjoyed modelling their own Halloween decorations which were inspired by their own foraged items from the garden and wood! Jellycat and Build-a-bear became a distant memory, as our children designed and created their own plush toy: a Monster designed and created by them, handstitched and stuffed with care.
The week was rounded off with a variety of games, a Halloween party and group spoooktacular performances. I am certainly looking forward to see what crafts we can create at our next Holiday club…
