Prep 6 Public Speaking Competition
Every child in Prep 6 entered our Public Speaking Competition. Each student had to either read an extract from a book they had particularly enjoyed or write a speech about something they were interested in.
They performed their speeches to the whole of Prep 6. The Prep 6 teachers, alongside Mrs Hornby, had a very difficult task to choose the finalists. We heard speeches about the environment, mental health, kindness and even mobile phones.
The nine finalists were then invited performed their speech on stage in front of Upper Prep students, parents and our judge Mr Taylor. It was a fantastic event and all children performed successfully.
It was a very difficult decision for Mr Taylor, but our winner was Matthew, who wrote a fantastic speech on Dyslexia.
Congratulations to Matthew, and everyone who took part.
