Today, the Croston Theatre came alive with the sounds of harmony and celebration as our talented Senior students took to the stage for the annual Autumn Concert. Families, staff and friends gathered to enjoy a spectacular evening of live music, showcasing the breadth of musical talent and creativity across the school.
The evening opened with an energetic set from the Orchestra, featuring a dynamic rendition of Dambusters March. The performance set a powerful tone for the night, combining professional polish with infectious enthusiasm.
Solo performances followed, including a moving vocal interpretation of Maybe This Time by Kander and Ebb and an expressive clarinet performance of Weber’s Clarinet Concerto in F Minor (1st Movement). Each soloist performed with confidence and artistry, captivating the audience from start to finish.
The concert concluded with a vibrant finale from the joint Upper and Lower Senior Choirs, who performed a lively Mamma Mia medley featuring favourites such as I Have a Dream, SOS, Take a Chance on Me, Thank You for the Music, Dancing Queen and Waterloo. The audience couldn’t help but smile as the theatre filled with energy and joy.
A heartfelt thank you to our talented performers and dedicated Music Department for an unforgettable evening. The Autumn Concert was a resounding success – an inspiring celebration of creativity, collaboration and musical excellence at Westholme.
