A Huge Night for Performing Arts at Westholme

It was an evening of celebration and pride for the Westholme as students and the Performing Arts Team attended the National Operatic and Dramatic Association (NODA) North West Awards.

With nominations across several categories, Westholme enjoyed outstanding success, receiving three prestigious awards in recognition of the exceptional quality of its recent productions:

• Best Staging of a Youth Musical – Miss Saigon
• Best Musical Director – Mr Holt for Miss Saigon
• Best Supporting Actress in a Youth Musical – Maya Pickford for her role as Rizzo in Grease

These awards are a testament to the creativity, professionalism and teamwork that underpin performing arts at Westholme, both on and off the stage.

Particular congratulations go to Old Westholmian Maya Pickford, whose award-winning performance as Rizzo continues a remarkable journey in the performing arts. Maya is currently studying Music Performance at LIPA, and her success reflects the strong foundations and opportunities developed during her time at Westholme.

The recognition of Miss Saigon for both staging and musical direction highlights the extraordinary commitment of students and staff alike, as well as the high production values and ambition that characterise Westholme productions.

Congratulations to everyone involved in these award-winning performances. This success is a proud moment for Westholme and a wonderful celebration of the talent within performing arts that continue to thrive across the school.
