Last week, 89 Westholmers had the exciting opportunity to attend a performance of Shakespeare’s timeless tragedy, Macbeth, at the Octagon Theatre. This visit aimed to enhance their understanding of Shakespeare’s work in English and Drama lessons while connecting theoretical learning with practical theatrical experience.

As they arrived at the Octagon, the students were greeted by the theatre’s welcoming atmosphere, a perfect setting for immersing themselves in the world of Shakespeare. The Octagon is renowned for its exceptional productions, and this performance promised to be no exception. As the lights dimmed, they were transported to a dark, atmospheric Scotland, where the story of ambition, fate, and betrayal unfolded before their eyes.
