Prep 3 had a fantastic day visiting The Liverpool Museum, where they explored the fascinating world of Ancient Egypt. The children were captivated by the incredible artifacts and rich history they encountered. There were so many highlights; the children were amazed to see real mummies and learn about the intricate process of mummification. In an interactive workshop pupils tried their hand at being archaeologists, completed tasks when exploring artefacts and working out messages in hieroglyphics. The exhibits showcasing ancient Egyptian tools, jewellery, and clothing gave the children a glimpse into the daily lives of this ancient civilization. They were particularly intrigued by the huge map of Egypt and followed the route of the River Nile as they learnt about its importance. The visit brought the pupils’ classroom lessons to life and deepened the children’s understanding of Ancient Egypt.
