Westholme Pupil Alfie Makes His Debut for Lancashire Lightning 

We are delighted to celebrate the recent sporting success of Alfie, who made his ice hockey debut for Lancashire Lightning, part of the Lancashire Ice Hockey Academy, in a thrilling match against Nottingham last weekend. 

This marks an exciting milestone in Alfie’s sporting journey, as he continues to balance his academic studies at Westholme with his growing commitment to competitive ice hockey. Training several times a week and travelling for matches across the region requires great discipline and focus,  qualities that Alfie consistently displays both in school and on the rink. 

Representing Lancashire is an outstanding achievement and testament to Alfie’s talent, teamwork and perseverance. His selection to play at county level showcases not only his technical skill but also his enthusiasm and love for the sport.
