A Fantastic Day of Football at Westholme 

Today, we were prod to host our annual Primary Schools’ Football Tournament, an eagerly anticipated event that has been a firm fixture in our sporting calendar for over ten years. Schools from across the region joined us for a day filled with exciting matches, great teamwork and outstanding sportsmanship.

The tournament provided a wonderful opportunity for young players to showcase their skills, work collaboratively and demonstrate the values of respect and determination that are at the heart of sport at Westholme. The enthusiasm on and off the pitch was truly inspiring, with every team giving their all and supporting one another throughout.

Following a series of closely contested matches, teams and supporters came together in our Dining Hall to enjoy post-match refreshments and a well-deserved rest. The afternoon concluded with a celebratory prize presentation by Charlie Jackson, whose words of encouragement and recognition made the moment even more special for the young athletes. 

Events like today’s perfectly capture the spirit of Westholme by promoting teamwork, resilience and community through sport. 

We extend our sincere thanks to all participating schools, staff, parents and supporters for helping to make this event such a success. Gratitude also goes to our dedicated sports team, caterers and grounds staff for ensuring the day ran seamlessly.
