ISF Social at Shajan Restaurant

This week, our INSPIRED Sixth Form students enjoyed a wonderful social evening at the renowned Indian restaurant, Shajan. The event proved to be a delightful highlight of the half term, offering a perfect opportunity for students to relax and spend quality time together outside of the classroom. Westholme has shared a long-standing and special relationship with the owners of Shajan, stretching back many years. The restaurant has consistently supported our school community, regularly featuring as one of the attractions at our Westholme Association fairs. Their continued generosity and warmth made this evening all the more memorable.

The restaurant staff went above and beyond to provide a sumptuous buffet, specially prepared for our students. Everyone enjoyed sampling a range of authentic Indian dishes, including crisp poppadoms with a selection of chutneys, an array of mixed starters and a variety of rich and flavourful curries that catered to all tastes. The meal was complemented perfectly by cool and creamy mango lassi drinks, which proved to be a particularly popular choice among many of our Year 13 students.

Adding to the atmosphere, one of our Sixth Formers happened to be celebrating his 18th birthday that evening. The entire group joined together to sing and wish him many happy returns, creating a real sense of camaraderie and joy. Laughter, conversation and smiles filled the room as everyone reflected on their achievements so far this term.

It was a truly jovial and memorable evening, with students in high spirits, enjoying the chance to unwind and connect with one another. As we now move into the second half of the Autumn Term, the evening at Shajan served as a lovely reminder of the strong sense of community and friendship that defines life at Westholme.
