U14 Girls’ Hockey Squad Crowned Lancashire Champions

We are delighted to celebrate the outstanding success of our U14 Girls’ Hockey Squad, who have been crowned Tier 2 County Champions following their victory against Lytham High School.

The match was a thrilling display of teamwork, skill and determination, with both sides playing with real passion and commitment. Westholme’s players showed composure, strategic play and excellent communication on the pitch, reflecting the hard work they have put into training this season. Their collective spirit and resilience helped them secure a well-deserved win, earning them the title of Lancashire Champions.

This fantastic achievement means the team will now go on to represent Lancashire at the Regional Hockey Finals, which will take place at King’s Macclesfield School on Tuesday 18 November. The tournament will see the girls compete against some of the strongest regional teams, providing valuable experience and another exciting opportunity to showcase their talent.

A special thank you goes to Lytham High School for hosting such a competitive and enjoyable match. It was wonderful to see both schools demonstrate such enthusiasm and sportsmanship throughout the game.

This victory highlights the strength of girls’ sport at Westholme, where teamwork, determination and positivity remain at the heart of every performance. Congratulations to the entire squad and coaching team on this well-earned success. We look forward to seeing them proudly represent Lancashire in the Regional Finals.
