Westholme Retain District Swimming Crowns After Outstanding Team Performances

Westholme School is delighted to celebrate another exceptional achievement in the pool, as both our boys’ and girls’ teams were crowned District Swimming Champions, successfully retaining their titles from last year. While both teams delivered outstanding performances, our coverage focuses more closely on the girls’ team, who were photographed for this event and put in an especially impressive display.

The girls dominated their races, winning two-thirds of all events they entered and completing a flawless clean sweep of every relay race. Their teamwork, confidence and composure were evident throughout, and each swimmer contributed to a performance that showcased depth of talent across the entire squad. Coaches were particularly proud of the way the girls carried themselves—with maturity, positivity and humility.

The boys’ team were also in superb form, winning 13 out of their 15 races, including both relays. Their consistency, speed and focus highlighted the strength of boys’ swimming at Westholme and played a vital role in securing the overall district crown.

What made this success even more meaningful was the dedication shown by both squads during Tuesday afternoon training sessions. Their commitment to improving technique, developing stamina and supporting one another has been outstanding, and this victory is a direct result of those efforts. Coaches have praised not only the swimmers’ skill, but also their sportsmanship, discipline and team spirit.

Swimming continues to be a standout sport at Westholme, and the confidence gained from this district triumph gives the teams great momentum heading into the next gala on 2nd December.

A huge congratulations to all swimmers involved—you represented Westholme with excellence, pride and determination
