Westholme Commended for Independent School of the Year for Performing Arts

Westholme is delighted to share that, for the third consecutive year, the school has been commended for Independent School of the Year for Performing Arts!

This recognition is a testament to the incredible talent and tireless dedication of students and staff, who have worked so hard throughout the year to deliver outstanding performances all-round.

In performing arts this year, Prep transported audience members to the jungle, Mary Poppins flew in for the Lower Seniors’ production and the Upper Seniors took spectators to Vietnam with their performance of Miss Saigon. Alongside three major productions, Westholme’s music and dance students have treated the school community to a diverse range of performances, concerts and showcases.

Individual successes included a musical performance for the King, winning Best Actress in a Musical at the National Theatre Awards and celebrating two world dance champions.

A highlight of the year for performing arts was Westholme’s award-winning submission for the Andrew Lloyd-Webber Starlight Express competition, which saw 30 of the school’s students performing on the West End.
