Festive Carol Services Raise Over £1,800 for Local Hospice

The spirit of Christmas shone brightly at Westholme’s two magnificent Carol Services held at Blackburn Cathedral, which together raised an impressive £1,862.08 in support of the East Lancashire Hospice Christmas Challenge.

Both the Prep and Senior services brought the school community together in song and celebration, marking one of the most anticipated events of the festive season. The cathedral was filled with beautiful choral performances, heartfelt readings and a wonderful sense of unity.

A spokesperson from East Lancashire Hospice shared their gratitude, saying:

“A huge thank you to the pupils, families and staff over at Westholme School that supported our Christmas Challenge with two festive Carol Services over at Blackburn Cathedral – raising a combined total of £1,862.08. Well done to all involved!”

The funds raised will go directly towards supporting the Hospice’s vital work within the local community,  a cause close to many Westholme families’ hearts.

The school extends heartfelt thanks to everyone who donated and took part in these memorable celebrations of music, reflection and generosity.
