Folgaria Ski Trip 2026: A Fantastic Week on the Slopes

Our Year 9–13 ski trip to Folgaria has drawn to a close after a truly memorable week packed with laughter and plenty of snowy adventures.

The final days of the trip kept spirits high. Thursday evening saw the group enjoy the ever-popular pizza night, a welcome chance to refuel and relax after long days on the mountain. On Friday, students swapped skis for skates as they took to the ice rink, where there were some impressive performances alongside a few entertaining wobbles.

Of course, the legendary Wally Hat continued to make its rounds. Thursday’s honour went to Sophia after she spectacularly took out the stop sign at the bottom of the slope… an achievement that will not be forgotten in a hurry. The final award of the trip went to Holly on Saturday for enthusiastically launching a full-scale snowball fight and ensuring the week finished with plenty of energy and laughter.

Trip mascot Bearnado has also fully embraced alpine life. The now-famous teddy was spotted enjoying hot chocolate and chips on the slopes before bravely joining students for another long day of skiing.

Saturday evening was spent packing and preparing for the journey home, with the group departing at midnight into Sunday and arriving safely back at school at 10am. While there were certainly some tired faces, students returned full of pride in the progress they had made and the memories they had created together.

A huge well done to all students for their resilience and determination throughout the week, and sincere thanks to our dedicated staff for delivering such a successful and enjoyable trip. Folgaria 2026 will certainly take some beating.
