House Swimming Galas

The House Swimming Galas 2026 took place over Monday and Tuesday and were a huge success. Across four galas almost 200 pupils took part proudly representing their Houses; Pendle, Longridge, Bowland and Calder. The event programme was packed with competitive races across all strokes alongside style events, relays and of course the ever-popular novelty event which proved to be a real crowd favourite!

There was a fantastic atmosphere throughout with lots of cheering, laughing and encouragement from both swimmers and spectators. Music played on poolside added to the buzz and even sparked some dancing between races. Alongside the fun there were some excellent performances in the water with pupils showing determination, sportsmanship and real pride in competing for their House. The competition was friendly but fierce and every point mattered.

After two action-packed days, Pendle were crowned overall winners edging ahead of Calder by just five points in a very close finish. The House points earned from the Swimming Galas will now contribute to the overall House totals with the winning House at the end of the school year earning a day out at Blackpool Pleasure Beach!

Well done to all pupils involved for making the House Swimming Galas 2026 such an enjoyable and memorable event.
