Seniors and Inspired Sixth Form students recently enjoyed an enriching trip to the Octagon Theatre to see Shakespeare’s Macbeth.

At the Octagon Theatre, Shakespeare’s iconic tragedy was brought to life in a powerful new production, captivating students from start to finish. Experiencing the play performed live gave students a deeper understanding of the language, characters and dramatic intensity that can be difficult to fully appreciate on the page alone.

From the eerie atmosphere to the compelling portrayal of ambition, guilt and fate, the performance provided a thought-provoking and memorable experience. The trip has already sparked insightful discussion back in the classroom, supporting students in developing both their analytical skills and their appreciation of live theatre.
