Team England Triumph for Leiyah at Royal Windsor

Westholme is incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of Leiyah, who was recently selected to represent England in Pony Club Mounted Games at the prestigious Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Representing England at such a high-profile international event is a remarkable accomplishment and reflects the years of dedication, resilience and commitment Leiyah has shown towards her sport. Mounted Games is an incredibly fast-paced and demanding discipline, requiring exceptional teamwork and precision under pressure. Selection for the England team is highly competitive, making Leiyah’s achievement even more impressive.

In the lead-up to the competition, Leiyah spent over 10 days attending intensive England training camps, preparing alongside some of the country’s top young riders. Following the camps, she travelled to Windsor to compete against elite teams from Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland in the Royal Windsor International Mounted Games Championship 2026.

The event itself provided an unforgettable experience both in and out of the arena. Alongside the competition, riders and teams also took part in media filming ahead of the event, with coverage due to be aired on Sunday 7 June. Competing at such a prestigious venue, in front of large crowds and alongside international riders, was a huge milestone in Leiyah’s sporting journey.

After a series of incredibly close and competitive races, Team England produced a fantastic performance to secure victory and be crowned Royal Windsor International Mounted Games Champions 2026. The final proved to be a thrilling contest, with every point counting as the teams battled for the title.

Leiyah’s success is a testament not only to her riding ability, but also to the determination she demonstrates both within and beyond her sport. Balancing the demands of training and national competition alongside school commitments requires significant dedication, and we are incredibly proud of the maturity and perseverance she has shown throughout the process.

Opportunities such as competing internationally for England are truly exceptional experiences for young athletes and provide invaluable life skills. Leiyah has represented both England and Westholme with tremendous pride and professionalism throughout the competition.
