Westholme Welcomes Rounders England for Regional Training Collaboration

On Saturday 8 November, Westholme School proudly welcomed Rounders England as the North West Junior and Senior squads arrived to take part in regional training sessions.

The event brought together talented players and experienced national-level coaches for a day of skill development, teamwork and high-performance training. The squads made full use of Westholme’s outstanding facilities, and the energy and professionalism of the day reflected the strong sporting culture shared by both organisations.

Several of the coaches supporting the training sessions are also part of CBN Hockey Club, highlighting the natural connection between the two sports and the value of cross-sport collaboration. This partnership not only supports regional players but also provides exciting opportunities for Westholme students.

In the months ahead, Rounders England will continue to run training camps at Westholme, and one of their national coaches will deliver exclusive sessions for our pupils. These workshops will give students a unique insight into elite-level coaching, helping them develop their technical ability, tactical understanding and sporting confidence.

This collaboration represents a fantastic opportunity for our young athletes, encouraging them to explore different sports, learn from expert coaches and realise their full potential.
