Lilia’s Winning Design Chosen for the Westholme Christmas Card 2025

Congratulations to Lilia in Year 8, whose beautifully detailed illustration has been chosen as the winning design for this year’s Westholme Christmas Card Competition for Years 7 – 9.

Lilia’s artwork features a robin perched gracefully on a snowy branch, proudly wearing a Westholme bobble hat. Her use of colour, shading and composition captured the warmth and charm of the festive season, while her intricate attention to detail made the design truly stand out.

The judging panel were particularly impressed by the level of skill and creativity shown in Lilia’s work. Her drawing combines artistic precision with a joyful, festive spirit – a wonderful reflection of the imagination and talent nurtured at Westholme.

As the winning artist, Lilia’s design will now be featured on the official Westholme Christmas card, sent by Mr Taylor to families, alumni and friends of the school throughout the festive season.

Speaking about her win, Lilia said she was “thrilled” to have her artwork chosen and loved the challenge of creating something that felt both “festive and unique to Westholme.”

Mr Taylor praised the quality of submissions from across the school, commenting on the “outstanding creativity and festive enthusiasm” shown by all pupils who took part.
