Destination Oxford for Grace and Lewys

We are thrilled to announce that INSPIRED Sixth Form students, Grace and Lewys, have both received offers from Oxford.

Grace will be going on to study Chemistry with the hope of then going on to do a Masters in a specialised research topic and Lewys who has a passion for Mathematics is indeed going on to study Mathematics.

Speaking about Oxford Lewys said “I’m really looking forward to going. Oxford has a great tutorial system where I will be able to get lots of 1-to-1 tuition to help with my studies.”

Speaking about what they love about their time at Westholme, Grace said “There are so many co-curricular activities and I am also part of the INSPIRED Sixth Form charity team organising fundraising initiatives around school.”

Lewys added “I joined in Prep 3 and straight away loved the family feel. The teachers have all been amazing, especially Mrs McConnon who has been influential in my passion for Maths.”

Head of Sixth Form, Mr Oracz, congratulated them by saying “I would like to offer a huge congratulations to Grace and Lewys who have been offered conditional places to study Chemistry and Maths at Oxford University. With their exemplary work ethic and passion for their vocations, they have worked incredibly hard to ensure their success in their forthcoming A Levels, so it is a testament to their ability and characters that they have been recognised by the elite university. Now that their place is ensured, they will continue to work with their supportive teachers to ensure the outcome is successful.”
