Prep 6 Travel Through Time with Crime & Punishment Workshop

Prep 6 pupils recently enjoyed an engaging and immersive history workshop led by a visiting historian, exploring the fascinating theme of Crime and Punishment through the ages.

The session took pupils on a journey through time, examining how justice has evolved and how crimes were dealt with in different historical periods. From the harsh realities of medieval punishments to the development of organised policing, the workshop brought the topic of “Police Through the Ages” vividly to life.

Through interactive activities and lively discussion, pupils were encouraged to think critically about how laws reflect the societies in which they exist. They explored how attitudes towards crime have changed and gained a deeper understanding of the progression towards the modern justice system we know today.

The workshop not only enriched pupils’ classroom learning but also sparked curiosity and enthusiasm for history, making the topic both memorable and meaningful.

Westholme School would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Westholme Association for their generous support in facilitating this valuable experience for our pupils.
