Prep Netball Tournament Welcomes Visiting Schools

The Prep Netball Tournament was a fantastic success, bringing together pupils from a number of local schools for an afternoon of competitive sport and teamwork. With the sun shining, the event provided the perfect setting for an exciting programme of matches, showcasing both skill and sportsmanship across all teams.

Westholme were delighted to welcome Ashleigh Primary School, Langho St Leonard’s, Euxton Primrose Hill Primary School, Euxton CE Primary School, Heskin Pemberton’s CE VA Primary School, Lower Darwen Primary School and St Barnabas C of E Primary Academy. It was wonderful to see so many pupils taking to the courts with enthusiasm and determination, representing their schools with pride.

Throughout the afternoon, matches were played in excellent spirit. Players demonstrated strong teamwork, resilience and growing confidence, with many closely contested games keeping spectators engaged. The standard of play was impressive, reflecting the commitment of both pupils and staff to developing netball within their schools.

Congratulations go to Euxton Primrose Hill Primary School, who were crowned overall champions following a series of outstanding performances. Their consistency, teamwork and skill were evident throughout the tournament.

Events such as this play an important role in providing pupils with opportunities to compete, build friendships and develop a love of sport. We are incredibly proud of our Prep pupils, who represented Westholme so positively, both on and off the court, and contributed to such a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
