INSPIRED Sixth Form Celebrate in Style at Year 13 Stand Down Ball

What a fantastic evening it was as our INSPIRED Sixth Form students came together to celebrate their Year 13 Stand Down Ball at the end of a memorable final week at Westholme.

The event marked a special milestone for the Class of 2026 as students, families and staff gathered to reflect on the incredible journey this cohort has shared throughout their time at School. Held in a wonderful atmosphere filled with laughter, music and celebration, the evening provided the perfect opportunity for everyone to come together before examinations begin and students prepare for their next chapter beyond Westholme.

The celebrations followed a brilliant week of stand down activities, including the annual staff versus Sixth Form sporting fixtures and the emotional Stand Down Assembly, where students were recognised for their achievements, character and contribution to school life.

The Ball itself was a fitting finale to the week. Students arrived dressed impeccably for an evening that celebrated not only academic success, but the friendships, memories and experiences that have shaped their time at Westholme. Throughout the evening there were plenty of smiles and laughter as students enjoyed a delicious meal, reflected on shared memories and celebrated together one final time as a year group.

A particular highlight of the evening came from the student performances, with Olivia, Darcie and Michael delivering fantastic musical performances that added a truly personal and memorable touch to the celebrations. There were also plenty of laughs during the much-anticipated awards presentations led by the Heads of School, which perfectly captured the personality, humour and spirit of the year group.

A huge thank you must also go to Thomas Franks Ltd for the wonderful catering and for helping make the evening so special.
