Year 10 Geographers Put Tourism Under the Microscope

Year 10 students certainly earned their stripes on a character-building trip to Bowness this week, working their (rather damp!) socks off in challenging conditions. Undeterred by persistent rain, they demonstrated resilience and determination as they carried out fieldwork on the impacts of tourism. Armed with clipboards and waterproofs, students approached locals and visitors alike, asking thoughtful questions and gathering valuable data. Alongside this, they conducted environmental quality surveys—no easy task while trying to keep both themselves and their worksheets dry!

Their positive attitude and willingness to persevere despite the weather were commendable, and the experience provided not only important geographical insights but also a real sense of teamwork and grit. Well done, Westholme geographers.
