Year 13 Gain Insight in Mock Interviews

On Wednesday, our Year 13 students took part in mock interviews, an essential part of preparing for life beyond school. A wide range of interviewers from diverse professions visited, including representatives from the University of Cumbria, BAE Systems and actor Ben Batt, who focused on students interested in performing arts.

Each student had the opportunity to practice answering questions, presenting themselves confidently and receiving constructive feedback from experienced professionals. Interviewers shared invaluable advice on career planning, professionalism and communication, helping students understand how to make a strong impression in real-world settings.

The sessions were a fantastic opportunity for students to reflect on their achievements and aspirations while developing the skills they will need for university, apprenticeships or their chosen careers. Year 13s were praised for their preparation, poise and engagement, making the mock interviews a rewarding and inspiring experience for all.
